About us

Pathfinder Scout Group was established in 2008 when 4th Horley, 5th Horley and 6th Horley groups merged together to form one group. In 2009, a new group scarf was revealed incorporating the colours from all three groups: red, yellow and black.

Pathfinder Scout Group, established in 2008, is the result of a merger between the 4th Horley, 5th Horley, and 6th Horley Scout groups. This union brought together the strengths and traditions of each group, symbolised by our unique group scarf unveiled in 2009, featuring the colours red, yellow, and black from all three original groups.

Over a Decade of Growth and Achievement

Since the merger, Pathfinder Scout Group has experienced remarkable growth and continues to thrive. We proudly offer a full range of scouting sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts catering to the diverse interests and needs of young people in our community. Our Salford colony was the fastest growing in the district in 2016, and both our Horley and Salfords colonies continue to expand, making us the second largest Scout Group in the Reigate District.

Our Commitment to Fun and Learning

At Pathfinder Scout Group, we are dedicated to making Scouting a fun, educational, and enriching experience for all our members. Our enthusiastic leaders work tirelessly to ensure that every young person enjoys their time with us, while also growing their knowledge and experiences. From outdoor adventures to skill-building activities, we strive to provide a comprehensive scouting experience that fosters fun, personal growth and community spirit.
