Adult Volunteers

Would you like to be part of something amazing? There are so many way you could contribute to your local community Scout Group!

Part of Scouting’s mission statement is:

To help young people achieve their full, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as respected members of their local, national and international communities.

Take a look at how you could volunteer below and see what role would suit you. Roles range from committee members to parent helpers and uniformed leaders, it doesn’t matter how much you do, every little helps!

Adult Leadership

Why not get involved in providing activities for young people either as a Leader, a Section Assistant or an Occasional Helper? You’ll receive training based on the role you wish to undertake, (always looks good on the CV), and have the opportunity to help young people in your community develop many new skills. If you can’t attend regularly you could become a Skills Instructor and lead activities like Archery, Hillwalking, Kayaking.
If you feel you haven’t got time to give for working with our young people at the moment, why not consider joining our Group in one our other adult roles?

Fund Raising Team

We have an amazing Fund Raising Team! They are hard at work behind the scenes helping us raise much needed funds. By joining the team you can help the Group while you make new friends, socialise and have fun.

Maintenance Team

Helping our Group is not all about raising money or being involved in every day work at Pathfinder. There are a number of jobs that always need doing in and around our HQ, and if you have a trade that you are willing donate some time with, we would greatly appreciate it.

Other Skills

If you have a skill from work be it practical or academic and would like to help in any way, just drop us a line. Maybe you have experience with building management, gardening, or painting and decorating, just to name a few, we can always accommodate any offer of help.
