Inclusive Scouting for All: Join Us!

Actively Involving Everyone

At Scouts, we believe in actively involving everyone and making necessary adjustments to ensure inclusivity. We understand that trying something new can be daunting, especially if you have a young person with additional needs. That’s why we are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity

We take pride in our inclusive approach, striving to ensure all members can participate fully. The Scouts programme offers flexibility to accommodate individual needs, whether related to disability, neurodiversity, educational, mental health, or medical needs.

What You Need to Do

When considering joining Scouts, the first step is to contact your local group. Local volunteers will reach out to arrange a chat to learn more about your young person. This conversation isn’t an interview or screening process; it’s to ensure we understand your young person’s needs and how we can make appropriate adjustments.

Ongoing Support and Partnership

This initial conversation marks the beginning of our ongoing partnership with you as a parent or carer. We recognise that needs can change over time, and we encourage you to communicate with your Scout volunteers whenever necessary.
