On Monday 7th July 2025, we celebrated another successful year of Scouting at our Pathfinder Scouts AGM & Awards Evening. Held once again at the Horley Pathfinders HQ at Baden Drive, the evening brought together Scouts, Leaders,  volunteers, families and supporters to recognise achievements and reflect on the adventures over the last year followed by a BBQ.

Welcome & Reflections

Our Group Chair opened the evening by welcoming everyone and then the leaders of each group were reflecting on the past year: from summer camps and district competitions, to community events and fund‑raising efforts.

We celebrated a diverse range of accomplishments:

• Chief Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards to our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts:

• We also awarded our pack yearly shields and Scouts Value Award for 2025

Mike: A Lifetime of Scouting

We said goodbye to Mike Haynes, whose journey in Scouting began at Wimbledon in 1953. A true Scouting stalwart, Mike later joined 2nd Reigate, as a younger scout before relocating to Horley. Over an extraordinary 50 years+ in Scouting. He was instrumental to setting up the Pathfinders Group over 15 years ago and actively running Haynes Pack on a Thursday night.
