Virtual meetings 2021

Date: 11th Apr 2021 Author: Bev Clear

What a busy virtual time we have had!

During the pandemic in 2021, once again we had to adapt to virtual meetings.

Across all our sections, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts our leaders held virtual meetings.

This term was jam-packed with all sorts of activities, from science experiments, https://www.pathfinderscoutshorley.org.uk/news/article/eggsperiment  The Big Garden Bird Watch, Cooking Swedish Fika and Pancakes, Microwave Donuts, Beatboxing lessons with Crmpts, making our own woggles, Soap Carving,  Skittleman the Entertainer and even dissecting owl pellets (we found lots of skulls and bones of small animals such as voles, mice, and rats….!):

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
